I filmed and edited a series of arrangements by Brandon that reimagine Nocturnes, or music inspired by the night. It was another blessing to visit Dreamland Recording Studios in Hurley NY to capture these videos which feature Brandon performing both the trumpet and piano parts to the pieces. It was strange from my perspective as I was only able to hear what was being played at each individual moment, but in Brandon’s ears he’s listening to his piano playing, expertly engineered by Ariel Shafir, so we were all in good hands as we captured the series in one full day.
